overall i thought skim was very interesting but weird. it's definitely not my favorite book. i really like the pictures and the whole concept, but it was definitely a very depressing novel. i feel like for some people high school and your teen years may have been that dark but it was really hard for me to relate to the story because my teenage years were definitely not dark and depressing. the whole relationship with the teacher was really inappropriate and just gave me a sick feeling. i dont know if it would have been different if it was a guy teacher or what, but i think the whole situation was extremely uncomfortable for me.
